i just bought the caran d'ache luminance pencils and gave them a shot, this is on normal drawing paper instead of the tracing paper i normally use...

Gorgeous! The colors are wonderful. Would you recommend those pencils. I currently use Prismacolor, but some of my pencils are really tiny now, and I need to get more. I did a quick Google search for those pencils and wow, they are expensive. I'm assuming they must be of really great quality?!

Thank you. They are better than the derwent pencils, almost as good as karisma's but i never tried prismacolors, they don't sell them in my neighborhood, what you could do is buy three or four pencils and try them a bit.. i really like them!

That's sounds like a good idea, I'll probably get some of the more popular colors I use, red, blue, green.

maybe some yellow too, so you can make some gradients.

two kinds of purple, two kinds of blue, brown, yellow and black, and two greens for the eyes

Yes of course, there's probably about ten colors I would need to cover all my bases.
